Ivy Fertility Showcases Innovative Research at 2025 American Society for Reproductive Medicine Conference

Physicians and researchers from Ivy Fertility, a globally-recognized network of fertility centers, shared cutting-edge presentations and posters at the 2025 American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) Conference in San Antonio, Texas last week. Members of the clinical team also participated in talks, roundtables, and symposiums focused on improving care and outcomes for fertility patients.

“Ivy Fertility is committed to combining compassionate patient care with scientific innovation,” said Ivy Fertility CEO Lisa Van Dolah. “Presenting our research at ASRM allows us to share breakthroughs that can directly improve outcomes and enhance the fertility journey for patients everywhere.”

The following research presented by Ivy Fertility physicians and affiliated researchers highlight significant findings that contribute to the field of reproductive medicine.

Overcoming Financial Barriers to High Quality Genetic Services in the IVF Clinic

Speaker: Lauren Thomas Garrett MS, Certified Genetic Counselor (Pacific Northwest Fertility and Ivy Fertility)

This roundtable session addressed the financial barriers fertility centers face when striving to offer essential genetic testing services. It also explored cost-effective solutions to help clinics maintain the highest-quality genetic care.

Faster and Smarter: Leveraging Technology to Maximize Business Efficiency

Chair: Lowell Ku MD (Dallas IVF)

Speakers: John Preston Parry MD, Hary Hokianto MD, David B Sable MD

This interactive session explored strategies for growing REI practices with limited resources by leveraging technology to improve efficiency, patient care, and team-based operations. Through audience polling and rapid-fire pearls from panelists, participants identified top technology concerns, shared practical solutions, and discussed emerging opportunities in cybersecurity, social media, and practice management to support sustainable growth in modern fertility care.

Prolactin Levels Are Comparable in Women Regardless of PCOS Status or BMI

Presenting Author: Will Brezina

Authors: Sierra Bishop MD, William Kutteh MD (Fertility Associates of Memphis)

This retrospective cohort study examined prolactin levels in women across varying BMI and PCOS status. The study found that prolactin levels were comparable regardless of PCOS diagnosis or body mass index, suggesting that these factors may not significantly influence baseline prolactin in women undergoing fertility evaluation.

Progestin-Suppressed In Vitro Fertilization Cycles Produce Similar Outcomes to Traditional Protocols in Patients With Diminished Ovarian Reserve

Presenting Author: Linnea Goodman MD (Virginia Fertility & IVF)

Authors: Laura Smith MD, Christopher Williams MD, Scott Purcell PhD (all of Virginia Fertility & IVF), Sara Pierpont MD, Allison Gonzalez MD (both of University of Virginia), Mary Carolyn Peavey MD

This prospective observational cohort study evaluated whether a progestin-suppressed ovarian stimulation protocol in IVF cycles yields outcomes comparable to traditional stimulation approaches in patients with diminished ovarian reserve. The findings indicate that despite lower ovarian reserve, women undergoing the progestin-suppressed protocol achieved similar reproductive outcomes to those using standard protocols, supporting the use of this alternative approach in this challenging patient population.

A Single Center’s Experience With Euploid and Non-Euploid Embryo Transfer: Four Years of Transfer Data of Embryos Identified as Euploid, Mosaic, or Aneuploid via Preimplantation Genetic Testing (PGT)

Presenting Author: Said Daneshmand MD (San Diego Fertility Center)

Authors: Rebecca Gu, Shannon Kokjohn (both of SDFC), Claire Murphy Jones CGC, Amy Jordan CGC, Cengiz Cinnioglu PhD (all of Luminary Genetics)

This retrospective cohort study analyzed four years of transfer data involving embryos classified via preimplantation genetic testing (PGT) as euploid, mosaic, or aneuploid. The findings provide insight into how embryo ploidy status correlates with transfer outcomes and offer real-world context for decision-making in clinical practice.

These research contributions underscore Ivy Fertility’s dedication to advancing reproductive medicine through scientific discovery and clinical excellence.

“With innovations in technology, genetic testing, and clinical protocols, fertility care is evolving at an unprecedented pace,” said Dr. Lowell Ku, ASRM Technology Committee President and physician at Dallas IVF. “It’s exciting to see how collaborative research and creative problem-solving are translating into better outcomes for patients every day.”

By continuously refining fertility treatments and deepening the understanding of human reproduction, Ivy Fertility empowers patients with the most effective, evidence-based care. The insights shared at ASRM 2025 reflect the organization’s ongoing commitment to improving outcomes and making parenthood possible for more individuals and families worldwide.
